PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS
Under direct supervision and instruction of the Senior Public Affairs Officer, PAB, the incumbent performs a variety of media, financial, and administrative duties related to the activities of the Branch:
- Contributes to and facilitates the production of media-related content to support the Branch’s activities; Provides support for photography and videography (includes taking photos and videos, processing and editing such content, managing the storage of PAB’s photos and videos, and distributing photos and videos to various stakeholders);
- Provides expertise to support and identify the technical requirements for webcasting key OPCW events (e.g. the annual Conference of the States Parties); Provides support to Branch for major outreach events, conferences, and press briefings to ensure audio-visual needs are met from assessment through dissemination;
- Supports efforts to facilitated Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) attendance at OPCW events. Coordinates travel support for NGO representatives participating in key OPCW events; Provides reporting support related to EU project grants related to NGO activities;
- Organises the distribution of various OPCW communications (e.g., media advisories and press releases) using Campaign Monitor or other similar programmes; collects information to update relevant mailing lists for Campaign Monitor;
- Contributes to the maintenance of the official OPCW Internet Website and the PAB Port@l site
- Plans, processes, tracks and reports regarding financial, budget, procurement, and administrative matters related to the operations of the Branch in compliance with all rules and regulations and with the oversight of the Head, PAB;
- Performs necessary administrative functions for ensuring the smooth operations of the branch such as maintaining clear and organised files (on- and off-line); fielding inquiries by phone, e-mail or other modes of communication in coordination and in consultation with colleagues (when needed); operating and maintaining printer, labeller, cameras, and AV lab computers including storage solution for photos and videos;
- Assist with the Branch preparations and logistics for external outreach events and activities;
- Maintains asset inventory for Branch consistent with OPCW procedures;
- Researches topics to support Branch’s outreach initiatives; and
- Perform other duties as required.
RECRUITING PROFILE
Education (Qualifications):
Essential: High school diploma or equivalent diploma of secondary education;
Desirable:
Required Certification (if applicable): NA
Experience:
- Essential: At least 3 years of progressively responsible and related experience in Media or Public Relations;
- Expertise with photography and videography, including experience with photo and video processing/editing, storage and distribution;
- Experience with website content management systems (Drupal) ;
- Expertise in setting up and installing media equipment such as cameras, video monitors, audio devices, media converters, and maintaining digital asset management system.
- Experience in running video, audio, and signal testing for webcasting.
- Experience in optimising video for YouTube and other online platforms.
Desirable: Previous experience within an international organisation is an asset.

Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is essential and a good working knowledge of one of the other official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is desirable.
